Education is important especially for those who are financially-challenged. Lack of funds should not hinder one from enrolling in college. This ias especially true for women since nowadays, they believe that they can raise a family without the help of a husband. Getting a college degree will enable them to choose a better career path. They will also have a vast opportunity for work. On the other hand, a person who lacks college education is forced to take the job which is presently available. And this is sad. But everything is not without a glimmer of hope.

Not all parents are fortunate enough to have the resources to send their children to college. With the recent economic recession, it is also difficult for one to get a job which can send them through college.

Getting through college seems to be an insurmountable task especially with the current condition of the economy. A bright career awaits our college graduates but it seems that future is put on hold because our salaries are hardly enough to pay for daily costs of living, let alone paying for college tuition.

Depending on which college you go to, you can spend $9,000 to $36,000 on average in yearly tuition and fees. Those, unfortunately, are not the total price since you still have to factor in expenses for lodging, food, laundry, books and supplies. With the cost of attending college going higher year after year, and federal student aid programs unable to keep up, it would seem that getting a degree is shoved further out of reach to many young Americans.

With the present condition of the economy, it seems going to college is dream close to being impossible. It’s hard enough to earn a living let alone save some extra cash for college money. This is why there is a need for students nowadays to give more attention to student loans, scholarships and federal grants.

Today, education cannot be considered as a right but more of a privilege. Reality bites that a lot of students cannot afford to go to college. Most would already start looking for jobs to earn them a living.

Its your senior year at high school and processing your college applications should be started early. October signals the beginning of the long process of getting to your dream of a bright future.

After high school, students will all be busy preparing for the SAT’s and prepping up for the college life. But it’s a sad truth that not all of the graduates from high school will be able to get to college. There are those who are lucky enough to afford college education. Others will opt to get their degrees in a community college. The bright ones may avail of scholarships. But there are some who lose hope in earning that bachelor’s degree.
